SONAREM Group’s CSR Policy

SONAREM Group's CSR Policy

SONAREM Group has integrated environmental, social, and governance criteria into the heart of its strategy, which will form the basis of its corporate social responsibility actions. Convinced that transparency fosters trust, accountability, and dialogue with all its stakeholders, SONAREM applied an interactive self-assessment tool in 2025, in the form of a questionnaire sent to its subsidiaries. This tool allows for the systematic identification of the Group’s strengths and vulnerabilities in this area and, consequently, to set a structured and evolving CSR roadmap.

SONAREM’s conviction is clear: responsible mining is not an option, but a necessity. This philosophy guides the daily activities of all our sites and directs our commitments towards the communities living near mining leases, the environment, and the value chain.

Our purpose is to make SONAREM a benchmark in the sustainable and responsible processing of mineral resources, at the service of the well-being of all and the collective progress.

SONAREM is also committed to being recognized as a leading employer, offering each employee a developing work environment with opportunities for progress. Active listening, social dialogue, and respect for all stakeholders constitute the foundation of our governance.

Finally, to measure and guarantee the effectiveness of our actions, the Group has made the ambitious commitment to certify all of its sites by 2030 according to the most demanding international standards for responsible mining, such as those of the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA), the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) or the ISO 26000 standard.

This approach to compliance and transparency reflects our desire to contribute, in a tangible and sustainable way, to mining that respects people and the planet.
